Historical Traveler Reviews Louis Creta Princess Beach Hotel Chania
It was absolutly great i had great fun. I went with a lot of people and we had a great time.
More like a 3 star
We were mostly dissapointed with our holiday to the Creta Princess Hotel, in Chania. We are a family of 5 and had to have joining rooms.
They were very basic, and if you are a size 16 or over, then you would have to have your daily wash in the pool, as getting in and out of the bathrooms was a joke. The food was a little varied, but not to my liking, or the childrens. My daughters ate toast, and rolls for two weeks. Whatever you ate on a daily basis, you could bet your life that all the left overs were stuck in the next days soup, or thrown into a rice dish. The entertainment team did a fantastic job and livened up the evenings, and the pool area's were where they have picked up the 4 star rating without a doubt. The first choice kids club was run by 4 girls, of which 3 did not have any personality at all. How they ever got their jobs I will never know. I would not have employed them if I had interviewed them over the phone. My kids went twice. If they missbehaved during the holiday, I threatened them with "I'll send you to Kids Club if you do that again" The rest of the holiday they behaved !!! I will be writing to first choice about this. There were many reports in the Bungalows of Cock Roaches, and we had an ant infestation on the forth floor. Apart from that the weather was fantastic, and I would go again, but to another hotel.
my first holiday away from mum and dad with my boyfriend and we couldnt have gone to a better place!the hotel was spotless and the rooms very nice.along with the biggest heat wave reaching 110'f it was without a doubt the best holiday of my life, so much to do - the animation team in charge of day time and evening entertainment were FANTASTIC! THEY DESERVE MEDALS! they work non stop and deffinatly made our holiday!the disco was good better with the animation team there i wanted to take them all home with me! the area is great! 1 warning "dont use the hotel shop" go across the road SO much cheaper! cant wait to get back there in a few months! i recomend you have your photos taken prof. with marco he is amazing! and make sure you try all the coctails! have fun. char x
This place hardly be faulted, other than the size of the rooms, those of you into swinging cats will be disappointed. We have visited 1999, 2001 and 2002, and plan to go back in 2004. I would challenge anyone to not enjoy themselves. The animation teams are very, very good, as are the kiddy club reps. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is good, there is plenty of it, and always varied.
I could go on at length, but cannot spare the time at the moment.
A very satisfied customer.
Game for a laugh?!
While there i had the best time ever. The staff were very helpful and gorgeous! Overall a very unforgetable experience hense the reason i'll be returning next year!
Been twice loved it once
been there twice the first time was the best holiday ever everything was amazing. unfortunately the second holiday here was terrible the animation team was awful the entertainment at night was non-existent the disco was really bad the dj just played music that him and the animation team liked. then my son got food poisoning and we spent 4 days in a greek hospital and got no money back. The best thing about it is the beautiful swimming pools which are kept very nice. The food was practically the same every night and the shops in the complex are very expensive, it is much cheaper to go to the shop over the road, apart from the animation team the staff were very polite and helpful. it is a perfect family holiday but as long as you are lucky and get a good animation team.
Good time at the Louis Creta Princess
Visited this hotel week commencing 7th June 2003, and had a lovely time. Just myself and my little boy.Facilities - a variety of pools that should satisfy anybodies needs. Good for toddlers, youngsters and olds. Tennis, basketball courts but way too hot to make use of them. Plenty of bars for drinking throughout the day.Entertainment - hotels activation team encouraging participation in activities throughout the day, water volley, water polo, and the rest. The germans take these things too seriously.Beach - some sand but a lot of pebble as soon as you move away from the hotel front.Food - fair to good. All tastes catered for and its all very well presented.Rooms - not the biggest, but who wants to stay indoors eh???Resort - Maleme is not ideal for culture vultures. Its way too far from heraklion if you want to hit Knossos etc, probably three hours by coach each way. Chania 20 minutes away, very nice to visit for shops and a nice harbour.
Great Family Holiday
Together with my wife, daughter, son (11 years old), son-in-law and grand-daughter (3 years old) we stayed in bungalows in this family complex directly on the north west coast. The location was excellent, a quiet part of Crete, but easily access was had to the old capital (C)Hania via a courtesy bus, where old venitian houses are in abundance. It was an all inclusive deal and despite our various dietary requirements more than adequate food was to be had from 7 am to midnight. The pool was magnificent and always clean. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly and they all worked well together. The independent 'Animation' team provided entertainment and encouragement from morning to midnight and ensured that everyone knew what was going on. For the two weeks that we were there the whole family just had a great time.
An excellent place for a family holiday
The Louis Creta Princess is an outstanding hotel, catering to families and couples alike. The accomodations are well kept, the service is great. You won't be dissapointed! There is an animation team to provide both day and night time entertainment every day of the week. Shows are provided each evening by the animation team which they create themselves and audience participation is a must! Don't forget the excellent food.
I have just returned from Crete having spent two weeks there with my wife and two sons. The hotel itself has excellent facilities but the rooms are a little small with not much room to move. The food is very good with always something to choose from the menu. The animation team are a fantastic advert for the hotel and the evening shows are well worth the money alone. A special mention to all the team of Steffano, Allesandro, Bjorn, Antonio, Elena, Lisa, Nadia and Irene. Who kept us entertained for the whole of our stay. Thanks guys.

... to see a goat sitting in a tree. On this trip, we first stopped at Agia Sophia Cave, which means The Cave of the Wisdom of God. To get inside, you had to walk up many steps. Once inside, there is also an alter where there are artifacts that were found in the cave and are believed to be from the Neolithic period. After the cave, we stopped at the Chrissokalitissa Monastary, the oldest on the island and over 1000 years old. Finally, we arrived at the beach. It ...

I was totally creeped out by it, but knew I would regret if I didn't try it. There were two young women working there and since I was the only client, we chatted. They talked about the Greek Crisis and how prevalent it still is. I haven't really sensed or felt a crisis and they said Chania is ...

I guess being 10 minutes early on a flight means you get into Greece unofficially-I just hope we can get back out:) Auntie Charlotte was there-tanned, looking relaxed and over excited to see ...
