... stop. Another lovely taste of the Greek culture. We met some great people on the train who shared some fresh figs and other fruit with us! So good! They helped us find our way in the city. In Thessalonica we met up with a couch surfing host named Stephi, who showed us a lovely time in the city. Another amazing restaurant with great Greek food, and a tour of the city later, we fell into bed exhausted. Oh, something about the Greek culture that I have not mentioned yet ...

When you first arrive in Delphi you think you arriving in an Alpine ski village.

          Then it's on ...

... to the hillside, the large mansions that were dotted around from the days when this was a lucrative fabric manufacturing village look very grand with overhanging wooden balconies and pretty paintings on the walls. There are two churches one at each end if the village. The priest is just leaving the smaller one which is situated close to the main square, we exchanged 'hellos'.The cobbles in the lanes are very slippery and occasionally we exclaimed as we moved down hill faster than ...

          Relaxing second day.

A travel blog entry by thunder_road83 on Jul 01, 2014

After the crazy first day, I had a more relaxed second day. After a nice sleep it was up and a delightful wee breakfast at the hostel. After that it was time to leave the Little Big House, which was a lovely hostel and I look forward to returning on my last night before I head home. I headed to the station and got the train to Larisa. I added here for a more relaxing day and to break up my travel to Athens. Arriving at Larisa during midday to find it was hot ...
