... we again visited the astronomical clock as it was just on 2pm. Again it was very crowded and we witnessed the hourly show. Curiously I don't think I could read the time from the astronomical clock as it struck 12 times at 2pm - and the more conventional clock is on the tower immediately above it is more useful for telling the time. In the afternoon we went in search ...

Day started with a Forrest Gump walk that included being hustled off a film set. Thought it was a reenactment as it was a public holiday in Czech today. We walked through a lovely farmers market (& made a mental note to return for shopping purposes!) then hopped onto the bus. We alighted at ...

We saw the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge and all of these weird sculptures done by David Black. It is reaaaaally hot here. Prague has a lot of beautiful old architecture and was not really damaged at all in the wars like Berlin ...

... This is how... I woke up at about 6.00 to a very weird noise. After listening to it for a while it turned out that there was an almighty thunderstorm with heavy rain. And as you know, I have not seen or heard proper rain for two weeks. It did send me into a slight panic mode, as I wanted to go to the Charles Bridge before 9.00 in order to see it with hardly any tourists. Also, doing a guided tour in the rain wasn't going to be fun either. Fortunately for me, the rain ...
