It was 5am. The bus station wasn't even alive yet. We hung around for an hour until a cafe opened up. We grabbed a chai or three and waited for life to hit the rest of the station. ... me over 500. SUCCESS! My good fortuned continued when the guesthouse I had been suggested was only minutes from the bus stop. So after a few moments of bartering the guesthouse keeper and I agreed on 500 rupees for two nights. Just over half price from her original offer. DOUBLE SUCCESS! Happy to be in a new place and surrounded by mountains and palm trees and a beach in the distance I changed into my bikini and grabbed my sarong and set off to explore. The beach here is below a ...

... our goal was to explore the capital of Goa, Panjim.

Panjim wasn’t really what we expected either, it was just a bigger Indian city. From all the places we managed to see we found a few of them quite interesting. It was a neighborhood with many houses constructed in the Portuguese colonial style, called "Fountains", the church of the Lady Inmaculate Concepction and the Tourism Office that actually provided us with a few travel destinations and maps.
