I have finally returned from a well needed break. The last nine days, I have been in Changsha and Shanghai. I went to Changsha for two nights and then Shanghai for seven. It has been a good adventure.

I went to Changsha to celebrate National Day with all of my fellow teachers. It was a huge day for the PRC and Changsha was wild.

Besides partying with everyone, not much was done.

... September 7th. After about two hours of cleaning i had the fridge decen, but whoever was here before me left old decaying food!!

It is a possibility that three of us guys might be able to move into a building on the new campus which would be really nice. We are not sure if we will accept the offer because we are teaching on the Old Campus and it is a 25min bus ride between the two. Plus, the old campus is right in the city center, where all the action happens.

I spent the week anxiously watching the outcome of the election. It was strange seeing the events unfold from the vantage point of a communist country. Most of the Chinese people I know seemed fairly disinterested, but the overall opinion is that Bush is an overly aggressive, inept moron.
