Historical Traveler Reviews Los Zocos Club Resort Costa Teguise
Very good Lovely 3* Accomodation (Under-rated!)
Me and my boyfriend stayed for 2 weeks.
The Weather was sunny from 1pm-6pm which meant we could have a sleep-in.
Fantastic Facilities for children - Always something going on (even my boyfriend (20 years old) loved the football and the swimming pool, I had to drag him away)
Not really a place to go as a couple but its a brilliant family resort.
Very good if you go ALL INCLUSIVE coz you can get drunk every night and sleep in till the sun comes out.
The food is nice although very repetitive. The restaurant caters for all kinds of people - vegetarians etc. and kids. However the pool bar always does the same food (burgers, hot dogs, chips, bacon and salad) all day everyday!
The staff are very friendly.
We were allocated in one of the older buildings when we arrived and because I had read the reviews on here I knew to ask for the NEW BUILDING which was re-allocated to us on arrival. We met lots of friendly couples and kids, one of which showed me their appartment.
They were allocated in the old building and the decor was very dull and carpeted in brown throughout - it was very dingy and quite smelly. I was very pleased that we asked for a the NEW BUILDING as we had a lovely apartment tiles throughout and lovely decor, pleasant views with a pool view, lovely balcany - NO COCKROACHES, NO ANTS, NO DIRT, I even had a bath every night before we went out, which most people wouldnt have dared to have a shower the old apartments were that bad.
Watch out for the electrical shops as they have been known to debit your account more times than necessary - I would recommend NOT to buy from them as they are run by con-artists and they sell you items that are not what they say they are - they are very pushy people. Do not engage in conversations with them as they know just what to say to get you interested, they even asked for a deposit before we left the shop so that we would have to come back and buy the goods, although we had no intention in purchasing anything just enquiring on a price (we found it hard to get away - but didnt give any money. If you do buy things from these shops PLEASE PAY IN EUROS.
We were disgusted by the amount of offensive weapons sold legally in most shops from 3 euros upwards.
ALL IN ALL A LOVELY PLACE - DONT BE PUT OFF BY OTHER COMMENTS - REMEMBER ITS A 3* HOTEL AND YOU SHOULD EXPECT 3* QUALITIES
VERY GOOD RESORT!
Windy or what
Just returned from the Los Zocos in so called breezy teguise (not breezy just gale forcy) and because of the wind it ruined the holiday maybe we got unlucky. Taking away the wind the holiday would of been fine the hotel was very good, we were self catering so we did'nt eat in the complex at all, there were numerous bars and restaurants which done great food but a bit pricey. A note on the hotel try to avoid the 3rd block of apartments as you hardly see the sun in these. One restaurant to note was the Shanghai, a must for lovers of chinese food and also visit the Cutty Sark pub on the seafront cheap breakfasts and great evening meals at reasonable prices.
El sitio con mejor entrenimiento
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Hola!!!!!!!!
Best entertainment place i have been to
hello!!!!!!!!the hotel is good for the entertainment and the animation team!!!! jalanda and marcel!!!!!!!the all inclusive isn't the best but the rooms and services were more than ou could expect cleaners were brill. There could be more sun shades though
This was the worst All Inclusive Hotel my family have ever stayed in. Grotty, Run Down, Dirty. Moved room by the first hour asked to move hotel by 2nd day and on the 3rd day seen the food was eaten first by the animals as I caught on camcorder.
It's the best!!!
I thought that the los zocas was great for all the family. The swimming pools are great and there is so much to do in just one day. You can go for a lovely swim in the pools and then have a game of tennis. The thing that was great was that the resort never got over crownded. The apertments were lovely had a nice lot of space fo large familys and the beds were pretty comfortabele.
me and my boyfirend went on a last minute holiday in febuary 2003. we paid ?300 pp all inclusive 7nts so cant complain too much. as a travel agent ive heard a lot of feedback on costa teguise. its very spread out and hasnt really got a centre. its all seperated out. beaches are nice and sandy and its fun to watch the windsurfers. when we went the weather wasnt to good so that put a downer on things a bit at first. we did eat out one night and found a really nice restauarant for what you may pay at home. shopping is ok. i wouldnt stay in tegiuse again i would try playa blanca or puerto del carmen. playa blance is a little smaller and pueto del carman is a bit tackier with a macdonalds but has a centre and a bit more life. when we arrived we got a really nice big room, with a great balcony and a big bathroom. very clean and comfy beds. we had a new rooom so request one of these.most rooms have pool views.request a high floor as things can be noisey. a very much family orientated complex. i have no problem in selling this as a selfcatering complex. didnt do any excursions but went to teguise market ourselves on the bus for ?1pp. worth a trip out for the souveniers. the food - well as a vegetarian it was limited. i wouldnt go all inc again. breakfasts were greasy dinner could be luke warm and a bit picked through but lunch was good when they cooked pizza and fajitas with onion rings. watch out tho lunch can be last nights left overs!! the entertainment at night was awful. good for the kids at the start but then it got really bad. dont drink the vodka im sure its nail varnish remover in disguise! its only all inclusive till 11. overall a nice break away but would only go self catering again. not bad for what we paid. hope you found this useful.
Fantastic holiday location with or without kids
I cannot tell people enough about THE LOS ZOCOS CLUB,It has definitely been the very best resort I have ever been to..My first holiday there had been with my two children on the recomendation of my travel agent. The kids had very full, fun and organised week. The apartments are low rise ,well maintained, all with pool views and to good standard of decoration. Staff ,hospitality, entertainment, food, facilities etc. can not be beaten in our opinion. I have also been back on a girls holiday and again our experience of THE LOS ZOCOS was an outstanding success-We also enjoyed the cusine of the local restaurants and bars-A SEAFOOD LOVERS DREAM DESTINATION.Great shops, restaurants and bars within a short walk, beach just across the road and no late night noise - what more could you ask for ? THUMBS UP TO THE LOS ZOCOS ----------------WILL BE BACK SOON-ELAINE
our first ever all inclusive holiday with our children. it was great!

Landing at the airport I quickly found that they only had one ATM and it was out of order and there was nowhere to exchange cash. So rather than getting the bus I was lumped with a taxi.
It was a small bump in what was a chilled five days in the little town of Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. It's a kiteboarding and surfing paradise so not quite my cup of tea but I really enjoyed the laid back vibe ...
... fruit... Lazing by the pool, we topped up our tan and I even managed to get sunburnt feet! Although cold, the pool was a welcome place to cool-off.
Soaking up every last ray of sunshine, we didn't head to dinner until 8.30pm and walked along the gorgeous water front, back to Playa Cucharas for my birthday dinner - the waiter treated me to a sparkler in my drink (just like at Valentines haha). Our last day ...
... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!
After a 4.5 hours, we have survived the Ryan Air flight and land in the volcanic island that is Lanzarote. It is far from pretty, but an incredible landscape to look over, almost lunar like. ...
... ocean, it really was something else. People kept flooding onto the beach and some people were wading waist deep into the water (fully clothed I should add) just got a view of the madness. At 2 minutes after 7am the horn rang and away they went! I'm hoping I'll be able to post the video I took on here, but just try to image 2,238 men and women just funneling into the water through a like maybe 15 foot wide entrance area. Madness. The pros were in ...
