    For our last evening we had a little stroll around the village and Jayne bought some knick knackeries for the folks back home. As the local scran hadn't come up to scratch we decided on some Chinese food. We ended up in an authentic restaurant called Hong Kong 97, strange name but there you go.     ... Once we'd turned round with the wind behind us the voyage became a bit more comfortable. The boat would surf the swell and that was fun. Eventually we came across a pod of Dolphins. Bottlenose variety (the same ones we get back in West Wales) we saw about 18 of them and they hung around for a bit but became bored with the boat ...

    ... no doubt there's a reason for it. We took a stroll to Puerto De San Diego, this is more where the locals live and doesn't have the sheen of the purpose built Tourist Area. Life was going on there though as was death & we watched a local funeral taking place. The hearses were covered in garlands of flowers and lots of people were outside the house of the dearly departed paying their last respects.

    So, has anyone famous lived here? Well the most famous former resident was none other than Francisco Franco & from here in 1936 his plottings led to the Spanish Civil War. I havent seen any memorials to him here, so I guess the locals are not too fussed about him.

    ... on the desk found us two seats on a flight set to leave at 14.25pm......and we had to pay.
