... be leaving "the boys". We've had tons of fun. Unfortunatly it took us three damn months to teach them to play Euchre, but we've made up for lost time in the last week but playing every night and allowing it to get extremely heated. Although, with Rob playing any game.. things usually get out of hand.

The next few weeks should be fun though.. finally a ...
Santa Rosa, California, United States vino_voyageursOkay - blotto is a bit of a stretch but if I hadn’t dumped some of my $40-$125 wine between the barrels I would have been.
Del Dotto is a winery that we visited while bike touring in the Napa Valley last week. They have two locations which offer quite different but very worthwhile experiences. Without hesitation I would highly recommend their cave tour and barrel tasting - and ...
Napa Valley, California, United States hikebiketravel... Flick and Doug how to play Euchure.

6 hours later at 4:00am, down about 50 PBR's and other random beer shrapnel, 5 games of euchure and shotgunning we went to bed. drunk.

Yesterday was our big winetasting day. Obviously we all slept in until 10:00 and finally got a kick start on the day. We wanted to head to Calistoga and check out a few wineries in Napa County. The first we went to was Faille. We had a tasting appointment ...
Calistoga, California, United States vino_voyageurs... hiking!’ I left the amateur porn stars to their bug bites.

And back to the rancho for our last night. Kirven and his collection of sous chefs (although who exactly was head chef would probably be debated) cooked up a major banquet – fantastic nosh that even this vegetarian could appreciate (although not partake of). We worked our way through the collected purchases for the week – well you know this would better than trying to carry ...

Santa Rosa, California, United States vino_voyageurs... afford to buy many more. Napa Valley is definitely a very expensive area!! I noticed the supermarkets in Texas had Zinfandel at a very reasonable price so I would get some more bottles from there to take home with me.

By the time I finished looking at the wineries it was early evening so I found a hotel (also expensive) and just went to a nearby restaurant for dinner and a couple of beers.
Napa, California, United States maccasworldtour... on spending the night, but I've got no choice now. I check the internet for a weather update and find out it's puking snow in the pass, so I guess getting the 4 new tires was a blessing. They say everything happens for a reason. so with my new winter anti-freeze, 4 good tires I'm feeling better about tackling the snow. I'm still scared shitless at the prospect of going through the mountain pass in the car, but I've got no choice now. I'm fully committed. I pray ...
Santa Rosa, California, United States iceclymbrr... to stand up to chat! It became soon clear that there were some people who can't hold their liquor because they became rather obnoxious. It was a woman who was flirting with anyone who was male *who had a dick/desperate* and a man who broke his ankle so he needed to get up once and a while to move. He of course tried to flirt with me but I guess he sensed my vibe because he soon stopped. And of course he was in his 60s so that has risen the tally of my 60 year old ...
Santa Rosa, California, United States nrbrown... The next day was a planned 17-1/2 mile day, and we were met by our next hosts, Paul and Judy McClish at our lunch break. Judy drove much of our heavier gear on ahead and left Paul with us to walk the remaining seven miles. We felt so light not having our backpacks weighing us down! We continued with the stripped-down cart (i.e., minus the tent and various equipment) and the Earth flag, since they are good visuals of our purposed walk. Paul and Judy attend the Sacramento ...
