good skills chrisopher !!
5/11We hired another car and drove around the beautiful island of Gomera, they had had a forest fire which had devastated about 20% of the island back in august, but it is still the most heavily wooded of all the canaries, again lovely swinging hairpins, but this time wider roads so not so much of a problem, we stopped in Playa Santiago for lunch and had the most fantastic burgers which ...
Island Hopping - La Gomera
... amp; tour) than to just take the boat and our car, on the boat. We stopped a lot and the guide talked in both English & French non-stop, which became annoying. Otherwise, it is a beautiful island, much smaller and more rural than Tenerife. There is a national park in the center of the island and it looks a lot like the rainforests of central america which ...
To The Volcano
... br>
I have a great photo of a vent where the lava came out of the side of the volcano. You can see where it came down the mountain and then across the road.
Tomorrow is Sunday, so we will probably just hang out here and catch some sun. On Monday we have a flight at the North Airport (1 hour away) at 7:30 am so we will be up at 4 and leaving here around 4:30. Not sure when you will hear from us again, probably in Madeira... next stop.

More Sun and Hills
... trip down and back up the hill we went over to one of the All Inclusives to sit on the edge of the cliff and have lunch. I have to say that I am very disappointed with the food here. After all of the great meals that we have had for the past 6 weeks, this is the most mediocre stuff we have ever eaten. Oh well, the beer and sanrgia were ok. Her are a few photos just to keep you up dated. We plan on heading to the volcano tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Up Hill Both Ways - Really !!
... to climb them... The view was great down there. You can see where that lava folded, steamed out and came down the mountain folding on itself. It was very interesting. You can see holes now filled with water and places where the water has carved out openings into the hollow lava rock. As you can see from the sign at the top of the stairs, a person needs to be aware of when the tide comes in.
