... down the sea side in search of a paella, we had a few places in mind and after checking out the various menus we decided for a place that we had eaten at before and spied their offering. We made our choice of a mixed paella whilst washing it down with champagne sangria and enjoyed it very much.

... the restaurant we had chosen was just a short walk along the coast and also looked out over the water. It was primarily a fish restaurant so we indulged in some local choices with one in particular being recommended by the wait staff. After a lovely meal we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed some drinks on the balcony.

We took a taxi to Adeje which is about 10 minutes away to have dinner in this street cafe that only does Garlic chicken, home made chips and salad, which made the ordering easy! It was good, despite the screaming children at the next table doing their best to spoil everyone's dinner. We returned to the hotel and had a few glasses of vino on the balcony.
... reached the sunniest place on the island I could not wait to get onto solid ground and breathe in the fresh sea air and take in the colourful character of this fishing town.
The best way to see the island is to either hire a car or catch the local buses. They do offer tours around the island but as there are not many English speaking tourists that visit the island there are not many tour options to choose from. I decided towards the end of my stay to hop on one of ...
