My last two days in Tenerife

... down to Santa Cruz for dinner, and we all looked super snazzy for our farewell party. We all met outside this incredibly fancy restaurant (the Casino--not like Las Vegas casinos, but more like social clubs), and took an obnoxious amount of group photos, selfies and final shots with friends. When we finally ended up going inside this restaurant--which was the most upscale place I've ever been in (and probably ever will be in)--we were escorted to one of the most fancy dining halls ...

Gynecology

... born babies, so my day was pretty much made on the unit. That being said, I really don't think gynecology is for me; the fact of the matter is that this specialty requires a lot of work with labor and pregnancy, and I don't know if I want to put myself in the position of seeing a pregnancy or labor go wrong. I knew, however, that my hotel room was reserved from 5pm, and it was only 8am. What to do? Well, explore! I took a trip around all the old familiar sites from my childhood- our old flat, the plaza, the school, though everything was a lot smaller than I'd remembered. By bike, one can cross Santa Cruz in a matter of 5 minutes, ...

... sneakily splash up over the wall. It made great entertainment to sit and watch the unsuspecting passers by get a thorough soaking:-)

My next stop after Santa Cruz was to hop back on the bus and head all the way across to the West of the island to Puerto Tazacorte – the sunniest place on the island. The bus trip was only 1hour to Los Llanos but my word, as the bus climbed up the mountain making its way along lots and lots of bends, I felt physically ill. By the ...
