My last two days in Tenerife

... down to Santa Cruz for dinner, and we all looked super snazzy for our farewell party. We all met outside this incredibly fancy restaurant (the Casino--not like Las Vegas casinos, but more like social clubs), and took an obnoxious amount of group photos, selfies and final shots with friends. When we finally ended up going inside this restaurant--which was the most upscale place I've ever been in (and probably ever will be in)--we were escorted to one of the most fancy dining halls ...

Gynecology

... born babies, so my day was pretty much made on the unit. That being said, I really don't think gynecology is for me; the fact of the matter is that this specialty requires a lot of work with labor and pregnancy, and I don't know if I want to put myself in the position of seeing a pregnancy or labor go wrong. It was a long and arduous sea voyage. The all-inclusive self-service restaurant was always so busy that I had to go to the quiet cafe and buy a sandwich with my own money. On the third day it was finally quiet enough that I could get a proper meal, much to the server's surprise,"You've been onboard since Cádiz and this is your first meal?? You know this is all free right?!" Yes. Yes I knew. I was treated to some spectacular sites, including Dolphins and ...

Black Volcanic Beaches and Fishing Villages

... line bus to Santa Cruz de la Palma. The main commercial area has been pedestrianized so it was very pleasant roaming around the numerous tourist shops selling volcanic inspired jewellery or gorgeous silk handbags. The architecture in the shopping avenue and along the marina was very pretty with all the traditional wooden balconies painted in warm Mediterranean colours and baskets of flowers. I must warn you though when walking along Avenida Martima to watch out for the ...
