        ... of bumping into the tour guide lady!! We went to a coffee shop, got a warm drink and finally I warmed up!! We did a lot more in the city, explored an art gallery and a museum, as well as checked out a very cool tower memorial to a writer, whom I forget his name. Someone said the memorial was a failure because it was like a church steeple taken off of a church and plunked on the ground. I liked through. I will include a picture if I actually took one. ...

        ... doors of the ferry got stuck so nobody could get off. In the end, free drinks were issued, the boat was turned round and, 3 hours later, the lorries were reversed off and we were able to get on our way.
        We drove 80 km and arrived at our campsite (Monte Royal), having gone over a mountainous area with snow poles already in situ at the side of the road, at 10.15pm but, being Spain, were able to order a simple meal at the bar. It was a chilly evening at this altitude.

        ... we hoped would be better. Next stop was the Correos. We sent quite a bit of stuff ahead to Gijón, I think it was about 8kg, mostly Abby's stuff, some of mom's, and my old boots. We did some window shopping, and met for the absolute best burger I've ever had at Manolis.

        ... one walk by with ice cream. I think you can figure out what our next stop was. We learned our favorite ice cream shop was Regla, as they really piled on the scoops :)

        We did eventually catch the bus and took a very fast and winding bus ride to Santander. Our Pension was only a few blocks from the bus station. We found Pension Real, and oh my gosh, it was like the cutest little place. It really had ...

        ... sleep on the floor somewhere, and she agreed, giving us a discount. Me and Ryan's "floor space" was actually a weird little room that reminded me of that small room on Willie Wonka. they pulled out two mattresses for us, so it really wasn't any different than a regular room.
