... the water a comfortable temperature. However, when I tried to get into the waves, the sand changed to small pebbles under my feet, very hard to balance on and the water plunged suddenly from shallow to deep. The surf was also a little rough, so I had a very short dip!

Fortunately the rest of the Booths visit was less eventful. It's warming up very nicely here now and they slept out under the stars for a couple of nights but had to come in to where normal people sleep at about 4 am. ... Logan, pint of Chunky Monkey for me. We then proceeded to the pool to eat our snacks and then realize how incredibly lax we had become with our sunscreen application. Logan had burned the tops of his feet, including his toes, and I had forgotten all together to put sunscreen on from the knees down meaning my shins were the color of a lobster.
