There is a beautiful Art Nouveau market here, and while I was walking around, the heat and the fact that I hadn’t eaten started to get to me. I was about 14 seconds from fainting dead away. I remember wondering if I would get robbed while was I passed out, but I bought a glass of pineapple juice, downed it and was immediately revived, so I didn’t get to test the honesty of the Valencians, thank goodness.

... to the town - and didn't get there. We found that we're miles from anywhere (no wonder everything is on-site). Miles away from anywhere and stuck in Butlins Spanish-style! To cap it all the weather is dull and dismal and the wind is picking up.

We are still here in Torrevieja waiting for a weather window to move on. The winds have been howling and the rain beating down on us on and off since we returned. Interspersed with this has been lovely sunny days...like today. We are hoping to move on at the weekend.

So there you have it for now. It was great to be back in the UK but now it's time to go sailing again. We will head up the coast towards Denia where we will wait for a weather window to cross over to Ibiza.
