A day and a night at sea saw us back on the Spanish Coast and we came into the city and port of Cartagena for a night. We had no wind for the passage from Formenterra so it was a relief to turn the motor off and cook up bacon and eggs backed into a marina berth.

There was a huge marque set up with big screens to watch the racing as it was held so far off shore could not actually see from the port area. Fantastic set up with luxury portable toilets, bar, food, media centre and full internet access. "the sleeve" is it had a interesting geographical layout because there is
an open bay on one side of the 24km coast and the Mediterranean on the
other side.

The D family rented a Beach apartment on the bay side of La Manga
know as Mar Menor. We stayed in Playa Paraiso right next to Playa Honda.
It is a small two bedroom apartment. It was walking distance to the
beach and two pools.
