    Day 1: THE JOURNEY

A travel blog entry by livy_lane on Jul 01, 2015

... was pretty comfy for what it was, but bloody freezing because the air con was on so high! We had to get off a couple of times to cross the boarder and there's an unofficial tax (aka bribe) that has to be paid to allow you to leave mexico. The bus left me at a pretty much deserted and rather primitive bus station in Corozal at 4.30 am. I basically had to wait there for it to get light, when it would be safe to cross to the thunderbolt water taxi thing on the ...

    The long journey home

I spent the morning relaxing before being transferred from Playa del Carmen to the airport in Cancun. The drive took 50 minutes and the whole way there it was nothing but resort after resort after resort.

Eventually make our way there by 630 and drive Down to see where we had to go. Spin around and pull over on a street to have a sleep before park opens in few hours. How the 3 of us slept will always be laughed in with Purto in the back, legs arms and head in ...

... and we touched down at 4.55pm. I hate travel days, but at least this is the last one until I fly home. The airport was fairly quiet and immigration and customs correspondingly quick, and my bag was already waiting for me beside the carousel by the time I got there.

The airport is much smaller than I thought considering the amount of tourists that must come through here. I bought a bottle of Herradura Silver for the room from the only Duty Free shop (the only shop I ...
