There is only one mass a week for visitors and it is in the back of the beautiful church, where the monk chorus sits. Thus said, there are only 16 seats in the whole place, so basically everyone stands. It was a very reverent and serious Catholic mass with some differences as well. It was actually so good that the next day after going on a good long walk around the city ...

... time with my sister; not the number of miles under my belt. 2. While I absolutely love the walking, the Camino "culture" is really not me, and while we can laugh and joke about it together, I wouldn't enjoy it on my own. 3. Judy has as much time, money and anticipation invested in this trip as I do, in fact probably more so since I have had a lot more "trips of a lifetime" than she has, and I really want her to come away from this ...

... the meseta, a plateau with little shade. We are not so sorry to see it pass by. We heard of one gal who was going to rent a bike and ride her way through this stretch, something we never thought of. Perhaps next time :-) many more fields of sunflowers. Their huge heads follow the sun through the day. We see them mostly nodding to the east. No place to wash our clothes! Oh well, bathtub for the ...
