... things I have eaten in Mexico. In the evenings we hung out in a small bar to watch the live salsa and reggae bands. Just as we were leaving one night we heard something even better going on next door and went in to catch the end of an amazing live set. The band must have had at least five different drummers and created incredible Latin rhythms which had the entire place dancing like in some ancient tribal ritual.
I returned home on Sunday evening, just in time to hear ...

... them with the correct answer “Suicide is painless”. Next, they played one I don’t remember now, but beautiful none the less. They played “The Love Boat” theme, and when I asked them who recorded the song they were stumped! Last, they played “Can you read my mind”, which they were sure no one would get. I knew the title of the song, but could not place where it was from. One of the other members of the ...

... never seen the film! Took a bus to a Cruz de Huancaxtle to check out the marina, as Phil, the skipper I'd tried to meet in Barra, said he might be in La Cruz about that time, though there were 2 different La Cruz's nearby so wasn't sure - hadn't had confirmation & no internet there, though I later discovered he had actually arrived there that morning - it just wasn't to be! Went to Bucerias on way back but not impressed, except watching kite boarders in action - windy as!

Puerto Vallarta, Pacific Coast, Mexico jackiehuh76... always enjoy having visitors Another really cool thing I've seen while living here is; an enormous iguana walking around outside on a ledge outside of my window. It was one of the rust colored ones that have big flaps by its eyes and from what I know they bite! They kind of look like dragons. I've also seen a couple of big iguanas in the trees by the river; one rust colored and one green. I just want to see one of them shoot fire out of their mouths. My friend ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico douglast... white fabric flowing in the breeze. My nostrils are in heaven from some delightful aroma. AHHH. Welcome to Paradise. AKA Piedra Viva..the Spa of Harmony. We check out the open two table massage area, with the stream flowing beside one of the tables. Then outside to one of the most unique spa "treatments" I have ever wanted to encounter. It's based on ancient Indian ceremonies. On site is a round stone and clay sweat house, the Inipi. This is one treatment that ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico kupdegra... We also recommend the food at 'Karen's Place' too. (Actually we've been sort of hard pressed to find anyplace that doesn't have good food) Bucerias is also a great place to buy funky mexican items too ; ) Friday was the big day we've been all waiting anxiously for. This was the day we were going to the Children's Refuge or in spanish; the Refugio. We met Chris Amo, the director of the Refugio's American charitable organization, downtown in Old PV first ...
