... you to pay for the checked luggage. It also weighs your bag, where we found that 23kg is slightly more than the poundage allowance so had three bags just slightly over weight so had to take some jeans etc out and do some shuffling around! No checked luggage is free here and we had to pay about $176.00 for all our suitcases. It is more expensive again if you have more than one per person or they are overweight, hence again why it is easier to just post some boxes ...

... probably because everyone was at Disneyland! Nomes' legs were sore from their misuse on the plane, so we headed back to our hotel.



We soon discovered the fireworks for Disney's evening show are easily heard and viewed from outside our door! They were very impressive - making us look forward to seeing them even closer in two nights time. We did the readings, by which time Nome was a goner. It wasn't too late but I was exhausted too - bed ...

Hayley here. I thought I'd share an LA experience from a while ago and tell you about a hostel we stayed at. We turned up in LA and were picked up by our hostel mini van and were excited as we took in all the sights of this huge city, seeing giant sculptures, well dressed businessmen and skyscrapers out the window. So we landed in Los Angeles with familiar mixed emotions, sad to have completed another amazing part of the journey but super excited to start the next.
