... ever to check in. Once we got to the front, I explained the name situation and they told us that since it is Aer Lingus's ticket, they can't change it at Jet Blue!!! Unbelievable!! The lady very casually told us, well I will check you in as is but TSA may not let you upstairs. Totally nervous, we walked to security and smiled and held our breath. They didn't say a thing about it and let us through!! Whew! Maybe we can fix it with Aer Lingus in ...

From there it was Boston, which I was really looking forward to. I haven't been back to my hometown or seen my family there in a looong time, so that was certainly a highlight. We stayed with my Uncle Mark and Aunt Sue in Dover, MA. We arrived at night to hot bowls of his homemade "farm soup", a delicious concoction of fresh ...

... LAX. So I just had my backpack and headed to Hertz for my car. It was ready and a nice car, as usual. Never driven a Buick Verano before. Nice car. Nice amenity was blind spot recognition; little light lights up telling you a car in in your blind spot. Very nice safety feature. It also had XM Radio, something I didn't think I would care for much, but have gotten very much used to since having it in my own car.

And I was on my way to ...
