... CO.#28 which is obviously in an old fire house. We felt like a burger and so we ended up sharing one and shared some Louisiana crab cakes for appetiser. The burger was cold and not all that but it filled the gap. Andrew is struggling with his cold and we only had too beers, Stella Artois this time, an old staple for us. He went off to sleep by around 7.30 pm and me an hour later. I woke up at midnight, Andrew was coughing his guts up and eventually he went back to sleep, I wasn't until about 4.00 ...

Had trouble getting to sleep again last night. I ended up sleeping in till 10am which is very unlike me these days,

Hopped on a bus down to the Farmers Market which I had heard had lots of different stalls and people go for breakfast / brunch. Wow! They weren't wrong. There was stalls with gumbos, mexican, crepes, cakes, spanish and ...

... story. He kept recommending we go stay at the hostel in Santa Monica, it sounded very dodgy and we were wondering if he was trying to sell us drugs. Real interesting neighbourhood we were staying in.

Felt amazing to get home, eat some food, shower and then collapse straight into our beds. I had a blister on my ankle from my sandals and all our muscles were cramped from walking at least 15km today. Great night sleep though after we watched a bit of TV.

... 8221; However, for all that, we are Americans and we are back and America looks radiantly beautiful. We are obviously feeling extremely patriotic. India is the world’s largest democracy, which we have learned means nothing with regard to infrastructure and citizen’s services. America has some pretty deep flaws but we can, and often do, get some big complicated things right. Not everywhere in the world can say that.
