... and all, but priced a bit high for me. I did pick up a few records as souvenirs, including a limited edition Deep Purple reissue, 'The Book of Taliesyn', in purple vinyl.

Now it was time to see the real sights. We wanted to see the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame. We put 'Hollywood Walk of Fame' into the GPS and headed that way, but it took us a couple miles away from the actual main part of it. We did see some stars on the sidewalk there, so we parked to check it out, ...

Tomorrow we leave behind the 38 - 40 degrees heat of Los Angeles and head to the milder climate of San Francisco, via an overnight stay in Monterey. I have really enjoyed LA - it is such a vast city of diversity. It is really hard to get a good sense of its size and see it all in such a short time, however, I think we did a very good job of sampling some of the main attractions! Yesterday we spent the day out and about and visited places such as Venice Beach, Santa ...

... as a sketchy part of Los Angeles -- now you know the where -- we arrived at our hotel in Pasadena called Farmer's Daughter on Fairfax Avenue. It's a rustic little motel-type place, very charming; Jessica and I both liked it as soon as we walked in. No time to actually check in though; we valeted the car, checked our bags at the door, threw some sunscreen on, walked across the street and got in line --wait for ...
