... for some lunch (another casado as they are by far the most filling and cheapest option) and were going to explore some more when it started to rain. We took shelter in a nearby empanada shop and had a coffee while we waited for the rain to go ease off. It rained most of the afternoon so we didn't do much. Probably a good thing as we have a 4:00am start tomorrow ...
... her big girl IDC today! I however am in Villa Sol and ill for the 4th day. I did get some amusement out of villa sol though as Martijn came with me and we not only saw the biggest iguana every, seriously his tail was nearly the height of me, but he amused me by carrying both of the tanks to the pool and joking around saying he was doing sidemount diving (where you have more than 1 tank to dive). After VS I got back to be told I was eating dinner at Brenda's ...
... but the only other option is try to find a flight home early next week. Not many flights are available and it will cost us $300 each to change our flights plus a hotel stay in Liberia and/or possibly Texas. I know one thing, when Narpa does pass away, Joe and I have decided not to get any cats for a long time. It will be difficult not having a cat around but we will finally have the freedom (and money) to go when ever or where ever we want to ...
... I tow them back to the boat whilst Julian did rescue breathing. This turned out to be a terrible idea because I ended up with Julian's weight belt in my swimming hand whilst dragging two people 40m back to the boat against the strong current. I thought that surely in this sort of situation someone would throw us a buoy but they decided not to so we could probably practice towing or as I like to call it drowning through exhaustion. I actually said that Tom could drown just so I ...
... unlike almost anywhere we had been so far in central America
very dry and dusty. This was the time for the NE Trades to blow which means
offshore winds and thus prevents the damp Pacific air from coming ashore
causing humidity to rise and maybe rain to fall. Los Malinches is owned by
Manuel, a delightful elderly gentleman now retired and living in his quaint house
on the property looking out over the beach and Pacific coast. As is usually the
case close ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Los Altos De Eros Tamarindo
Looking for an getaway escape and needing to be renewed I found the perfect place in Los Altos De Eros. It was incredible from the moment I arrived in the hidden hilltops, greated by the ultimate hosts, and with a much appreciated snack before dinner. The scrumptious snack was only the beginning of the most incredible meals both at the Inn & in Tamarindo. The service was inpeccable. You were to want for nothing. There was wine (which I ordered once I got home to help maintain the sensory of my Costa Rican experience), beer, pineapple tea, & always water there and available.
Los Altos de Eros is stunning. From the moment you are greeted by the incredible staff upon arrival to the tearful goodbye at the end of your stay, you are treated like royalty.
After treating us like a King and a Queen, giving us top of the line food and service, giving us the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we have ever had, being the host with the most - putting heaven on earth for us to enjoy, we felt as though writing a review is such a small contribution. When you leave this beautiful spa you will feel like you are leaving behind a small part of yourself. We felt warmly welcomed from the second we were greeted by one of the staff at the airport. When you visit other spas and hotel resorts you can recieve good service but they will all fail in comparison to what you will receive at Los Altos de Eros. We felt as though we were part of a big family. The open air and the breathtaking views will leave you feeling as though there is no where else on earth to be. Television, radio, newspapers were all forgotten as we let ourselves become part of the atmosphere of this beautiful spa. Your hosts Calvin and Jaquelin will leave no doubt in your mind that you are in the best vacation destination that this world has to offer. This is the closest to Heaven you will come without actually going :) We will return - Greg & Donna Batte'
Best Vacation we ever had
This little gem made us feel like royalty. If you ever want to live like a millionare, go to this resort. From the hotel to the food to the staff to the spa, this resort is truly a five star resort. The hosts are amazing, and we plan on returning to this incredible find many many times.
I feel that it's most appropriate to post our vacation experience at Los Altos de Eros on Valentines Day. We couldn't have imagined a more romantic, relaxing, customer satisfaction oriented resort than Los Altos de Eros. The minute we landed in Liberia International Airport I knew this vacation was soon to become our most memorable ever. We were met by Calvin and one of his staff. I felt I had known Calvin for years. The chemistry that developed along that 45 minute ride to the resort would set a solid foundation for a lasting relationship.
The Most Amazing Place in Costa Rica!! 100% Perfect!
After Spending 6 nights at Los Altos De Eros in Costa Rica I felt the need to come back and post this messege. I have never been to a place that was so perfect in every way. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the manager who takes care of you for the rest of your trip. The views are the nicest in Costa Rica and the service is as well. YOu are served an amazing breakfast every morning, as well as a gourmet lunch. The food is Awsome. The spa services cant be beat and the owners who actually live on the grounds couldnt be any nicer. If you are going to costa rica as a couple or with another couple YOU HAVE TO STAY AT LOS ALTOS DE EROS!!!!
