      ... temperatures in the low to mid 80's. I have to fly home for a week so Liz will be able to enjoy her daily workouts at the gym and laze around the pool in comfort.


      We've spent some of our time enjoying the weekly Streetfest in Palm Springs on Thursday evenings purchasing some of the artistry and craftsmanship. We also attended the Dwight Yoakam concert at one of the casinos and thoroughly enjoyed that. ...

      ... 30 degrees at 9 in the morning. I convinced him to take it which ended up being wise.

      The ride up went to over 8,000 feet and when we arrived, it was COLD! We didn't expect there to be so much greenery and foliage up there but it was almost like being at Yosemite. There were plenty of experienced hikers, including a boy scout troop, but Ted and I walked a short distance before losing interest and heading back to the coffee shop.

      We ate the second halves of our sandwiches for dinner. It is amazing how little we have been eating on this trip. We seem not to need as much food. Perhaps it's the sunshine and fresh air.

      Today didn't go at all as expected but turned out well. Also, we are still really glad we didn't get stuck with the Impala!
