      The dancing building

A travel blog entry by kazlang on Dec 23, 2014

Harley and I set off on our last morning to find the dancing building. A modern structure Harley had read about and wanted to see. The metro made it easy. The day before we had made the treck a few stops along to see more of a local area. Far superior for shopping and getting around than the city centre shops. On our little local mission, there were large tubs of big live fish swimming around at each corner of the Main Street. We are unsure what the ritual ...

Visiting Prague Castle & Golden Road

A travel blog entry by gmattson on Aug 08, 2014

*All of the pictures for this post were posted in the August 7th post. Please look back.* We had planned to do the monastery and castle today. We started by walking up the hill to the monastery...it was a bit steep. However, anytime we are traveling and ask how steep a hill and/or mountain is, the response is always that it is a small hill. Well, it was no small hill and we all broke a sweat. :) it was absolutely with it though because the views of Prague from our walk up ...

      The spider hunt.

So after sleeping a total of two hours last night, I woke up and was restless thinking about the spider coming into my room and crawling on my face and into my mouth. I have sleep paralysis and after finally finding a way to manage it, I have not had the issue in months. Last night however, I had the worst episode I have ever had, and stressed out about it all day. Mr. Lotter came over and we literally tore my room apart. Took out all the furniture, opened all of ...

      Prague completes our tour

Really interesting old town. The astronomical clock was quite amazing in its detail. Not only did we see it strike 12 noon, but a bride married in the town hall threw her bouquet to the crowd waiting for the clock to strike. It must have been wedding day in Prague...we also saw brides in veteran cars, horse drawn carriages and a roller. The side streets off the main square were much quieter, good to simply stroll.

... kind of guy. That limits what you can take, but it is a lot easier! We got out of the metro at the Powder Tower, which is a very old tower that you can drive a car through! Right nearby is the Municipal House which is a fantastic looking, theatre building.

After a last look at the old town square, it was time to buy some souvenirs and walk through Wenceslas Square back to the train station. I was glad to finally dump the suitcase into the bus and at 1:30pm, ...
