        ... Minsk, Belarus. Spending 8 hour delay I managed to discover the Soviet union city that was fantastic. There was an atmosphere of communism and the thing I amazed the most is Belarus money. The bottle of water cost 15000 rubles and trip to airport cost about half of million rubles.         ... few European cities to escape being bombed and so the amazing buildings and streetscapes are everywhere. We have mostly just walked, then sat and looked, or listened to buskers and entertainers.         ... our way to the Senate Building, renowned, we were told, for a set of gardens hidden in interior courtyards, and a bizarre wall of artificial rocks resembling a grotto 30 or 40 feet tall. We found the gardens, and the grotto, were duly impressed, and finished the walk by meandering beneath the Charles Bridge, along the Vltava River, and through Kampa Island.

        I'd have to say this is one of the better city walks ...
