Um auch das Inselleben etwas kennenzulernen, beschloss ich Kefallonia zu besuchen. Da es in Griechenland kaum Hostels gibt, und die Hotel etwas teuer, versuchte ich ueber Couchsurfing eine Unterkunft zu finden. Dabei war ich ziemlich erfolgreich und bekam bereits bei der zweiten Anfrage eine positive Antwort, auch wenn ich seeeehr kurzfristig angefragt habe. Die 'Hosterin' kam mich dann auch am Busbahnhof ...

... processed square ham you wouldn't feed your dog...I suggest ordering it with just cheese

-greeks eat ice cream daily...you've got to love a culture that does that

-don't order waffles, order VAFLEZ...s'what they're called, and they're gooooood (though I reserve the right to renege on that after I've visited belgium)

... and sat in front of the AC unit. It was beside the bar and did work but the windows are open. The staff were trying to catch a nap or break while everyone was gone, and they have to work in the heat which must be tough. deciding that I needed to be super tired so that I could sleep in the airport tomorrow I stayed up until 2 in the morning....
