VIA SANT ANGELO 20 Anacapri, Capri, Campania, Italy, 80071, 081-837-1440
... area. Well, since I had been told it existed I went in with more confidence. Indeed. It was the LARGEST seating area of any of the pizza contestants. There was a small area next to the kitchen that was off a small entry way -- hidden from the street. Then upstairs there were at least 4 rooms with simple chairs and tables. Just waiting to be the lucky support of some delicious pizza.

I ordered the Buffala pizza. Mozzarella di Buffala (HEY! Does that mean from Buffalo milk ...
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... to see EVERYTHING. The coast, Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius -- everything. I'm sure you won't be shocked to read that Pompeii received the only check mark. I have plenty of excuses for why that was but I have no regrets. And it doesn't hurt having a reason to want to return to Italy. As if I was lacking one!

Pompeii was amazing. (Quick side note, I am utterly confused whether it's Pompei or Pompeii. It's one of those ...
Sorrento, Campania, Italy josiezimTomorrow morning we catch a train for Sorrento. We will be there for 4 nights. We will take day trip to Amalfi, but we will not be staying at the hotel there. Joe and I decided that our stay on the Amalfi coast will be more enjoyable if we do not change hotels , so we extended our stay at the hotel in Sorrento, and cancelled the one in Amalfi. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you needed to reach us.
Sorrento, Campania, Italy mandjcann... the photo but I'm not sure it worked out. I guess it was my own personal reward for being here. (Sorry guys, but I do think you ALL received an invitation to come with me!)

I had been told about a vegetarian restaurant near the churches so went to check it out. They didn't open for dinner until 8pm so I killed some time at a bar. I got the chance to catch up with Carolyn and mi madre so it was the best killing ...
Naples, Campania, Italy josiezim... the maniac behind the wheel were enough to make you feel nautious. Sophie's parents had rented a villa in the heard of the village, with amazing patios and views of the sea. From Positano we did a couple of day trips to Capri, a small island about a 35 minute ferry ride of the coast and a trip to Pompeii to the ancient Roman ruins ...
Positano, Campania, Italy sofenjon... advice on where to go in the area. Good location to go north (to Naples and Pompeii) and south to Positano and Almafi (which is a hair raising but spectacular drive). We also took the boat to Capri which is a beautiful island and especially loved the Blue Grotto. First time we ran into some rain and we were at Pompeii for about 2 hours before it started raining .. even ...
Naples, Campania, Italy pathenger... taking one of those CitySightseeing Buses. The same kind we took in Barcelona where passengers were able to hop on and hop off at any stop.

We were warned about the traffic in Naples and that caution was needed when crossing any street. Although we thought the traffic hectic, cars had no choice but to yield when groups of people were crossing the street. So, we waited for the locals ...
Naples, Campania, Italy ricknelsie... wait for the next bus but the driver forced us to get on. We still thought the island was small so figured it would be okay. This by far was the worst. We had to stand in the doorway and no one made any room for the pregnant woman. But the worst was that the guy in front of me kept leaning back on me which added more weight and made me feel like I was going to fall out of the bus. I was near panic mode and thank goodness Angela was also holding onto ...
Anacapri, Campania, Italy amykclancy... only did my risk pay off, but also I had time to order a nice lunch. So I did. At a cafe in Piazza Umberto, I ordered a Caprese salad and a cold beer, and sat down to journal about what you are reading. What a trip though! In one afternoon, I ascended the highest point of Capri, and raced on wings of fire ...
Anacapri, Italy matt.lawrence... convent is a lot more run-down than the surrounding buildings, but it's pretty nice inside. High whitewashed ceilings and an orchard out back. When we walked up Sarah said, "Of course it's us. It's the dilapidated one." True that. The only thing open around our convent was the Moonlight Ristorante, so we went there for supper not knowing what to expect. It was so good we nearly made our way through the entire four course meal. We ended ...
