... left to fill in the afternoon. Turns out we were right about the appeal, but we did some shopping and were back bi about 4pm.
At shortly after 5:00 we headed to the pub for dinner, which serves an awesome grilled haddock
with chips and mushy peas. Now at 7pm, we are in our room having coffee/tea and winding down.
Off to York tomorrow !
... Britain. 1100s. It was built against the cliff the castle was on and it had rooms cut into the rock. Amazing. The castle was good too. Only parts of the gatehouse was medieval but the building on the top - a 1700s building for the very rich - was great. It is now a museum. You can hire the place for parties and weddings etc, so I'm thinking of my 60th birthday! We travelled back to pick up Dave and headed to ...
