Travel 30 miles down the Skyline Drive Road to Big Meadows campground. It is an older campground than Mathews Arm and not as nice. The campsites are more open and not as large. Hard to find a site to fit a 32 foot Motorhome! The one thing this campground has are showers which we dont use. We settle in and read for the afternoon then walk around the campground!
It gets windy and cold later so no fire tonight. Rains in the night!
Leave DC and head West to the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. This is a 100 mile north south drive on top of the Shenandoah Mountain range.
