... fun Halloween! I made my mask and dress. Not too Halloween-y, but I made it work. I discovered some great places to buy crafty things in my search for feathers. I'm really excited about that.

Oh man, See? This is why I have to update more often, cause I know there's all kinds of things I wanted to write about, but now I can't remember :) Oh well, maybe I'll make some more posts as I remember...

Until then!!
Sajik-dong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... 8211; Very hilly which means they are also very good at digging tunnels for their roads.

Beautiful – All the green and mountains/hills makes the country quite attractive.

Clean – As clean as Japan.

Cheap – We are coming from Japan, so it is all relative, but was back to normal at least and overall seemed more inexpensive than US.

Determined – Korean's seem very competitive and determined to ...
Busan, Korea Rep. paulfeuerborn... and Malaisian) to have a look at the shopping, the beer, and the chinese restaurant. We avoinded the Hyundai Restaurant, the Hyundai Bar, and the Hyundai Department Store. Pfiouu...

The Chinese restaurant was good, with a very nice Pekin Duck. The beer was excellent, before and after dinner, given that they have loads of brands, including belgian ales (which I have not tried this time). And the shopping was the most interesting, as it illustrated perfectly my first ...
Ulsan, Korea Rep. peacefrog... he resumed standing position! HA! Wish I had been there to see the whole thing. Instead I had to listen to the giggle twins, Ashley and Elena, talking about it for over an hour as they fell asleep that night! On our last day we spent a lot of time at the beach. We also found a smoothie shop, which I swear are non-existent in Seoul. I was pretty damn happy sitting on the beach with my smoothie and my camera as I hunted for Korean couples in matching ...
Busan, Korea Rep. april.abate... I'm pretty excited about it--one of my favorite times of year. Everything green and blooming.... Not at all a bad time to start a new school year, huh? For the first time, a Korean schedule makes sense to me!! Start the new year in the Spring when everyone is fresh and new, and still excited about the new year. End it in December when the year's over and it's dark and cold.... No 08/09 school years...only 2009. Huh. What do you know...

Heh ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... there was money to be made. Well, with the economy now, I'm fine IN Korea...it's when I leave that it's a problem. On the bright side, both the Korean Won and the USD has steadily gone up since October...it was BAD in October....

Hmmm...let me back up to November... It HAS been awhile!! Doesn't seem like it though...time is flying!!

November wasn't too eventful, but I did get my ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... bit and soon found myself nodding off. I awoke in Busan, our destination. Busan is a costal city with fresh air and a cool vibe on the Southern tip of South Korea. The group grabbed cabs and headed to Songjong beach, one of the beaches in Busan. The cab cost us 15,000 WON and we gathered on the board walk and were met with some unfortunate news. The surf was very weak, almost not there. Unfazed the group rented boards and wet suits and headed out ...
Busan, Korea Rep. morpheous... was this the opening day of the park, I guess a newspaper gave out free tickets!! So even though we paid $10 for ours, hundreds of people had free ones already!! Anne and I ended up deciding to leave. It was WAY too crowded, and we didn't want to sit on the steps. It's a ballpark!! I shudder...

In our attempt to look for an exit--which was much harder than it should have been--we stumbled upon the opposing team's locker ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... to entertain. The colours melt into the white of evening fog, and then the smoky black of night, but at the town centre great floodlights illuminate the ancient tombs of the Silla royalty that held court in the region. The tombs look like great grassy-backed animals grazing in the parkland. They are too high and steep to be mistaken for natural contours. They seem to have a sentience about them, a cautiousness. They watch you watch them. Maybe it's the monarch ...
Busan, Korea Rep. philiad... and wind thundered through the town, the thought of sitting in a cagoule on the back of a 4 wheeled motorbike was not an appealing one. Instead we got a bus into Chuncheon, booked our bus tickets for the following day and then snubbed more Dakgalbi in favour of a stuffed crust pepperami in Pizza Hut. A few more naps and a couple of beers outside the pension (the rain had stopped) and Day 2 in Gangchon was up. The next morning we were dropped by the bus stop in ...
