The tanks of Antonio were not that successful. The tanks with the least fish had 20 live individuals, and the tanks with the most had 40. This meant that more days had to pass to allow the Seriola to grow a bit stronger, and hopefully survive the transportation process.
15 specimens were randomly caught from my Winning tanks that contained the larger fish. They were removed from their tanks, placed in a bucket with ice (this kills them), and ...
Usual day at work. Initial feeding, preparation of more feeding, proceeding feeding, siphoning and counting of mortalities. Today Antoni has his initial experiment set up. He has 21 tanks to be used for his Nutrition and Bone Development of Seriola. We has to catch 125 juvenile Seriola from Mesocosmo 2, these little guys were about 1-2 mm long. Juvenile Seriola are very weak, and moving them from one tank to another will kill a ...
... to an RV parking lot at a beach with a bus stop next to it. So we decided to stay at this beach for short while, and catch the next bus. We wanted to go to Maspalomas to see the sand dunes and have a swim there, but the bus went straight to Las Palmas. We hopped on and headed home. Next time we will rent a car for the weekend and do the sand dunes and more beach camping. ...
... is not allowed in Gran Canaria, but there were 6 tents there. So we put up ours and relaxed on the rocky beach. Some people the took down their tents and went home, other clearly planned to stay the night, so we did as well. This was a very nice spot , only about 10 people in total, 5 tents and a nice breeze. The moon was bigger and brighter than usual, so not too many starts were out. In front of us we had the Scorpio constellation. ...
... me it just looked like a huge whole with plants growing all around. The most interesting thing to see were the rock folding around the crater, cause by the massive pressure over the years during the forming of the cater. Historical Traveler Reviews Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, Spa & Casino Maspalomas
No reason to doubt going to this resort when you just want to enjoy good food, fabulous pools and comfortable rooms. It is good money spend. Even on cloudy days the garden is a great place to read a book or simply dream away. Hotel lounge is very pleasant to hang out a bit before or after dinner.
Like our friend from Northern Ireland (above), I too had read bad reports. These mainly concerned the poor attitude of bar and restaurant staff. I have just returned from a holiday at the Gran Hotel and wonder if the complainants live on the same planet as I do. The staff were really first class, especially to my two year old grand daughter. A wonderful hotel with excellent staff.
Excellent location, settings, furnishing, style, food, service, everything is simply fantastic.
Just came back from Costa Meloneras for the 3d time and still amazed!
Especially this year we could enjoy the new spa facilities, which are the best i ever experienced! The cleanness, diversity of pools and creativity of designers and architects of this hotel is really impresses me! The only thing was missing for me is dancing. I would recommend it both for the families and couples. We will definately go back there next year, but i would advice to go in july as in august its a bit crowded and its not so easy to find a free space by the swimming pools, especially if you like to sleep late in the morning. Cheers!
The brochure undersold the quality of this hotel. The location, facilities (especially the pools - with the main one 110m long with the appearance that it runs into the ocean), restaurants and staff are all first class. Tito, the tennis coach, is very enthusiatic and organises fun tournaments and lessons for all standards. We didn't want to leave and plan to return. Great for all the family.
We read comlaints about this hotel before we visited it, but all completely unfounded. Facilities magnificent, staff so friendly it was hard to believe, cleanliness unsurpassed, food better than expected. Perhaps entertainment could have included dancing. There is a ballroom, but it's seldom open. Stil, full marks . . . and we will return.
we have just returned from a weeks holiday at the very glamouros costa meloneras. wonderful value for money. good selection of eating places. 2 buffet resturantes . excellent a-la-carte rest. Gorgeous hotel ! Main pool awesome
Beautiful. Food lovely and staff. Unfortunately they all think you're German! Grounds and facilities very relaxing and lovely atmosphere. Well-being centre is AWESOME! Lows: paying for all extras and rooms need ironing board & tea/coffee making facilities available. Everything and animation/movies had wonderful selections.

Largest hotel in Spain
Indeed a grand hotel having over 1000 rooms. Helpful attentive staff, and cleanliness second to none. Not for people with walking difficulties as it took us 7 minutes to walk briskly from the lobby to our room. An army of cleaners and gardeners keep the place pristine. Food quality is good, although my only critisism would be that food designed to be hot was generally very cool.
Room well appointed with usual anticipated features. This hotel is the finest four star hotel I have stayed in.
