... loving the location here. We sit at the table for our meals and watch the canal. There are all manner of boats passing, and in the evenings there are often groups on an outing. The bigger vessels require the bridge nearby to be opened. On the day we came home by tram from the Rijks Museum the line terminated some distance from our appartment, and some distance from where we thought our stop would be. City and country tour of Amsterdam today. We were picked up by our tour company from the motel at 8.15 this morning to meet at the tour office and begin our city tour at 9.00. Drove all around the city with a tour guide explaining all the landmarks and buildings. Stopped at one of two windmills left in the city and also at the Diamond Factory, Coster Diamonds. ... wine can ( Whaaaaaaat! Didn’t know that was a thing) for Briony, which we crack open as we hit the forest and ride through the manmade forest. The forest was huge and being man made everything had to be shipped in from all surrounding areas.
