Saturday August 1 - Day 19
Time to leave Illinois. As sad as it is to leave, I won’t miss the chaos of Chicago. Although I still think New York has Chicago beat, Chicago defiantly has Calgary beat. Because Wisconsin is just a few minutes from our campground, we took secondary highways along the bottom of Wisconsin. They have “America’s Dairyland” on their license plates for a reason. ...
This morning we thought we would be rained on during our outing, but the day turned out very nice, hot and humid but nice!
Our sight-seeing plan for today started by driving to Anamosa to visit the National Motorcycle Museum. This route is the one we will be taking on Monday, so this gave us a chance to preview the roads. The portion we drove today is 4 lanes all the way and in good shape.

Six months into the "real world", I found myself newly single. Now this is a perfectly acceptable time to wallow in your heartbreak, eat lots of ice cream, cry, and listen to John Mayer, there's nothing wrong with that. But it can also be seen as an opportunity. After packing the coach Friday and Saturday, we hitched up the Escape and headed west. I have included a picture taken by my friend Jim Tschantz. I can't say I don’t do windows any more.
