One a trip organized by the Mount Holyoke Outing club, I climbed my first hike ever! Day one we climbed Owls peak, approximately a 4 hours hike. Day 2, we climbed Mt. Phelps (the 36th/46th highest peaks in the Adirondacks) took almost 8-9 hours. It was certainly worth the view at the top, more so at Owls Peak due to the foliage. Hiking up this trail meant a lot to me. I wanted to see where he had been. The hike itself was beautiful and easy, unlike the NoonMark Trail. The view of the Trap Dike was pretty impressive. It's this HUGE vertical gash in the rock. To think of going up that now when there was no snow seemed a bit daunting.
