... under the weather (bad cold) so, upon arrival crashed out for a couple of hours. A quick walk and dinner revived me. The walk to the top of the mountain next day was only a 4km walk, but, with all of it being up stone steps, it took us about two and a half hours to get there. The altitude was 1600m and is, I am tole, the highest peak in the area. I'm afraid that I'll never be able to test that statement as we couldn't see a thing at the top. It was damp and misty ...

... and pilgrims of the main way; in total we encountered three or four fellow travellers. Below us, the trees glided into the mist that obscured the dale's floor. Obviously it would have been better to be able to see the view, but the land's disappearance added an ethereal and timeless quality to our surroundings. ... two hours before the train departed, so I went and got some awesome rice bowl thingy and a giant beer. Because I deserved it, you know. I spent some time planning my trip down the Yangzi when I get back to China in February. It all came together nicely.

I had two seats to myself the whole 11 hour journey home and slept as much as I could, arriving back home at 9 a.m. Ready for more sleep and with throbbing, sore, painful, horrible legs.

So I excitedly climbed into my barely padded bed with flat pillow and musty blanket and fell right asleep. Every couple hours however, my feet fell asleep or my bum got really cold from pushing up against the window. Your feet are encased in a metal box, because your bag has to sit on a rack on top of your feet (this is why my feet fell asleep a lot). So, I'd have to re-position myself and fall back asleep ...

Sometimes i am so caught up with myself that i forgot that i feel blessed. It is rather truly amazing that on my age i can do these amazing trips that give me some much experience in life. I feel truly blessed that i am able to do these crazy extraordinary travels en trainings to free myself as much as i can. And to get the best out myself.
