... to Kingston. Mark wants sleep in the USA tonight. Of course, we push it, the US is really too far, its 6pm there are no hotels with vacancy. Sara is in shutdown mode and Mark is scrambling. Good news, we get in the motherland and lo and behold a little motel/cabin with vacancy. It's 7:10pm and we shut it down. Cell phones back on. Fuel is $4 per gallon... cheaper than the $6 per gallon in Canada and the world is spinning normally ...
When we booked this tour, almost a year ago, it seemed so far away.
As time passed my interest and excitement has increased albeit somewhat sporadically.

... then Mariel drove us both to Pearson International Airport in Toronto. As we were all checking-in our luggage we wondered why the hell we decided to use backpacks instead of suitcases. Since most of the places we are staying over our 4-week trip are hotels, suitcases probably would have been way easier to pack and more comfortable to transport. Amateur mistake #1? I can already tell both Brad and Renae are going to be excellent parents. They have enormous amounts of patience, love and kindness and are both very laid back stress free people so lets hope that also comes through in Charlotte.
It was very hard to leave London knowing we wont get to see Brad, Renae and Charlotte for at least another 6 months but we are very lucky to have been in North America for her ...
