7 July. Another warm morning, lazy start. We picked up Nathan from school around 12pm then drove to Kew Gardens, spent a nice afternoon walking around.In the evening Suzanne,Paul, Lorraine and I walked along to the “Packhorse Pub” on Chiswick High St for a pint and a Thai meal very nice.

... was so congested and busy it would be so easy to get separated and this nearly happened today, but who would drive in this city?This trip was such hell, every other journey on it will surely seem like paradise.The tube, not the car, nor the bicycle, nor even the double decker bus, is the London way.Why fight it?It's like a magical pathway.
The city is buzzing around us and it's great to be a part of it's pulse.

220 Miles, 5 trains and 1 meltdown but we have arrived at Heathrow! We travelled from southport to Liverpool then headed down to euston. This was of course after my head almost exploded when 30 minutes before we were due to leave the boarding passes hadn't been printed and I don't have a printer at home...thanks due to Aeron for advising me that the public library (what's one of those?! Now for the REALLY exciting part of my post: I booked flights to both Berlin and Athens in June once my program is over! I will be spending five days in Germany and five days in Greece before heading back to the states on the 23rd -- it still hasn't really sunk in how much traveling I am going to have the opportunity to do! It is overwhelming and nerve-racking but I am so excited to just go with it and to let life take its course ...
