... out to Cumberland Falls. This is the only place in the world where a Moon Bow can be viewd. Its quite beautiful. There was full moon the night before but there was too much cloud cover to see anything. We spend about an hour or so wandering around the falls and the kids spend time skipping rocks across the lower part of the falls. The tranquity and beauty is amazing.

This stop is planned in order to visit the owners and breeder of a dog I plan to get once I am back from Alaska. I am so excited about getting a puppy and December seems so far away (which is when I can bring the puppy home).
The puppy is a Malagasy Coton de Tulear.
We stayed at the KOA in Renfro Valley. We only put on 149 miles today because we spent the afternoon with the dog breeder.

... most dangerous looking trail we could find. This was a hike adjacent to the river but unfortunately the rain decided to try and stop us. But these explorers were not going to be put off that easily and we persevered - only stopping occasionally to stop in caves when rain got heaviest. We hiked, climbed and strolled as far as we could until the route became so dangerous even the most daring of adventurers had to turn back.
We are at the Corbin KOA actually in Corbin, Kentucky. This is an overnight stay on our way to Derby week. A very rural area with lots of trees and hills. Corbin is also the birthplace of KFC.
