There were literally hundreds of them wriggling about. Through the next door were hundreds of guys sitting on tables and hacking up meat. ... brinjal bhaji, pithale, varan all piping hot along with side dishes of papad, salad, thecha and buttermilk. This was really home made on earthen stove (chool) with peculiar village style and with aroma of smoke. After dinner, we enjoyed a camp fire lit for us. It was quite cold so this fire was required to warm us up. Then we went in the hut and played cards again before retiring to bed.

... arrived and I was immediately targeted by the local vendors. Poor Narayan got the brunt of the hard sell job. We got on a rickety bus and headed up the track up the hillside with a group of school boys who were very curious about me. Upon arrival, Narayan and I started the climb to the top. ... on while everyone was in the other hall eating. The entire ceremony was scheduled to run until midnight. We left about 10:15 because we were worn out.

We leave early in the morning to go to Pune where we will attend a different wedding. We are only there for the formal ceremony. Then, we will head back to Mumbai. Tuesday and Wednesday are going to have to be serious homework and sleep days. Too much adventure in our life! ...
