The museum is very informative, with description in both Italian and English, and it houses plenty of artifacts from excavation sites found in many of the surrounding towns, including Boiano and Sepino. ... in place, making the park ugly-looking. We meander back through the higher end of town, annoying angry barking dogs, taking pictures of napping cats and stealing their souls. We continue back into the main piazza and onto Cafe Monarca, our go-to place for gelato in Boiano. I get chocolate and pistachio, Mario gets amarena, jam made with a local variety of sour cherry. It's sooooo yummy!

After coffee, it's off to the market for sandwich ...

... rendezvous with everyone at the apartment. We talk over wine and pizza, fennel and tomatoes and unstressed sheep's cheese with more "magic mountain herbs". We talk over expresso and wine and a whole bottle of Fernet.

It was a very celebratory mood, which I think James described best, "Holy cow, there's a whole bunch of Fascias in Italy!? What's up with that?"
