... and as I was watching one of the workers in a green vest was signaling to anyone who was paying attention -- as I pulled toward him he was yelling "move to higher ground" so we pushed into the closed lane and got out of the now joined solid flood plane. There were a couple of rows of cars behind me and I think they had the ones farther back reverse to get out of that low-lying place where I'd been originally stopped.
