Loi Suites is located just outside Puerto Iguazu town centre. The resort itself is hidden right in the subtropical jungle of Iryapua definitely off the beaten path. Loi offers beautiful spacious rooms complete with jet tubs. Enjoy your morning breakfast in your very own private patio as you watch the exotic birds of the amazon rainforest fly by. They have a beautiful pool and garden for your leisure. Excellent service and amenities (spa, lounge, restaurant, pool). Overall Loi Suites Iguazu is simply breath taking.

Taxi or private car is required to access the property and approximately a 15 minutes drive to Iguazu National Park.

      The Mighty Iguazu Falls

WHY? Two places inspired my travels to South America. The second was the Perito Moreno glacier. This is the first. Ever since I'd seen my good friend Rob's pictures of Iguazu when he headed there after uni and I carried on studying, it's been on my bucket list. WHERE? The falls sit on the border of Argentina and Brasil with Paraguay being just 7km …

Brazil Paraguay Brazil Argentina Uruguay 24 hours

A travel blog entry by lucasandaimz on Feb 22, 2014

As a group we agreed to spend a free morning doing a quick nip to Paraguay which was only half hour to the boarder. It ticked the box but was essentially just a shopping trip.

Paraguay is meant to be the cheapest country in S America for electronics etc so some of the group bought some bits. As you walk along the street people start off offering you electrics, followed by marihuana ...

... involved a large fire before heading of to the other side of the Misiones Province for some more waterfalls! South towards the Brazilian border and a small frontier town called El Soberbio. Jesus these places are weird and this one gets the title of 'the most ugly people in South America'. Odd I have been surrounded but Latin American beauties for so long and here the population look almost English, pale and pasty (god knows why), wearing shellsuits ...

      The Other Falls

The weather was still fine and so we decided to visit the other falls in Missiones as well: The Moconá falls of the river Uruguay. The road to the falls was as nice as the falls itself - windy and the the top of the hills at a lot of scenic views on the rain forst and rivers.
It was really hot that afternoon and we welcomed the wet boat trip to the falls.

... the full train service, however, we were able to get some amazing views of the falls. As you have no doubt learned by now, we are not too good with the camera, but even us non-artistic types were able to snap a few good pictures. As was the case on the Brazilian side, the main challenge when visiting Iguazu is staying dry. The bright sun and generally beautiful weather made that a little easier, but the massive volume and intense force of the falls creates an enormous ...
