    ... s lots of cobbled stones there. Will keep fingers crossed. Thank goodness that you can rest. So Greg's gone ahead & will take photos but none will be posted as taken on digital camera. Told him to behave himself. Ha!! Looks like I missed out on a spectacular abbey but glad I rested my feet & iced packed my sore ankle after dinner again.     ... are taking photos?? They are on a Lycra mission! No time to stop for the scenery! We resist the temptation to start the wine tasting before 11am and push on to Durnstein :) Yes!!! 11am a reasonable hour for wine :) after a quick stroll around the unbelievably quaint old town we stop for wine tasting!!     ... that is where catch the bus. So we wandered through the gates and down the hill, but at the end of the hill we reached the Danube. We took a left and walked about a quarter mile to the road, doubled back, and finally saw a store across from a bus stop where everyone was standing.     OMG The Abbey is amazing. It is so ornate.it is so steeped in history. The architecture is baroque and absolutely amazing, with its gold statutory. The gold is really gold leaf, but there is so much it took many thousands of sheets to cover the many statues, ceilings etc.

    ... Austrian dishes for us to try. Around 8:30 we headed over to another bar for a few drinks and to meet some more people. I was shocked to be going to a bar at 8:30 and it was even pretty busy. At the bar the drinks were 2 for 1 so I decided to order a long island iced tea - worst decision.
