So............our mates have returned to Blighty to resume normal life. Ferry back for us in a week or so, we are wending our way north - soaking up good things. France is full of good things.......a superb country - oft over-looked by English folk. It's different here away from the high mountains......but stunningly beautiful........and hilly if you ride a bike!

And my old family friend Aunty Barbara delivers 2nd to none hospitality!!

We went back to the house and everyone fell half asleep. I started on dinner, which ended up being a pretty ordinary vegetable stir fry. We drank some more wine and beer etc and watched satc again until fairly late. We really didn't stay up that late and went to bed blah blah. I love you, ...

Day 64 (Figeac)

... the Frenchman from Figeac who translated the Rosetta Stone, an ancient tablet with inscriptions in five ancient languages. Although it was all in French, the museum (with orsons help) was really interesting; it chronicled the evolution of the written language, compared different scripts and alphabets and had a series of amaZingly old documents. After the museum we returned to meet Tony, who cheerily picked us up and took us home. When we got back we hung around Tony's cottage for ...
