... more baguettes from the shop and then we headed back to the campsite. After packing everything up, we drove off. Several hours later, we arrived at an aire by the side of a river. We were now in Clamecy, a small (very) rural town situated in what felt like in the middle of nowhere. Our allocated pitch was in full sun and unbearably hot ...

After lunch we drove to Aubigny-Sur-Nere about 40 kms to the north west through vineyards and cereal farming country. We passed through several small towns. Reaping of barley is well advanced ...

... difference and we were able to understand what each was saying. We were four and a half hours and were pretty exhausted. Francoise drove back to Paris and we back to Sancerre. Raemond said his studio and house are open to us at anytime. We took a plant, roses and chocolates as a gift and they gave is a beautiful book on Versailles but is very heavy. We had a great ...
