... queue. I was a bit stunned to see army with full blown guns walking around, and so many police on the streets, best keep my bag close if it's that bad, ha. Then we had a big walk around before hanging out at the laundromat on our street to do some much needed washing. Once the house keeping was finished we headed out again for yes more food! I'm sitting in the Emirates departure lounge in Geneva waiting to board my flight to Sydney via Dubai in 50 minutes. It’s now 1.45 pm local time and I’ve just saw via the SMH site that South Sydney have won their first rugby league championship since 1971. until at least an hour of very heavy slogging ...

... bike ride up to the town of Duingt. The route runs mostly along the lake, is very flat and well marked. After lunch at a sandwich shop (on great French bread) in Duingt, we rode back to Annecy. We got back to Annecy just in time to return the bikes and hop on a 1 hour boat tour on the lake.

Returning back at the hotel around 5, we enjoyed some wine and other goodies on ...

... we could see snow up the mountains (even if there is absolutely none in the villages!), so we decided to press on.

We rented skis from a little shop in the village, then drove to the gondola lift at the base of le Grand Bornand station. The gondola was fun – only Abby had done one before (last year when she was here with Eliette’s family). As we got further and further up the mountain, we were relieved to see more and more snow. It was ...
