I know it's been a while since I've posted, but have no fear, I am not one of the unfortunate 8 souls who died last weekend from an avalanche in the surrounding areas. True stat. After leaving Lyon we head towards St. Gervaise Le Bains 15 minutes outside Chamonix and our chalet in the mountains. It is 2 hours from Lyon and a very picturesque drive.
