We left Arles fairly early to set off up to the Cevennes. We did a trip along the Cevennes cornice from St-Jean-du-Gard when we stayed at Crespian with the caravan and then visited Mt Aigoual and back down the Herault valley.

... and many, many walkers mostly French .. Of course they laugh at our attempts at French.. I must say Helen and terry do magnificently well... And some of the situations we have found ourselves in have been very challenging .. Those two are great. Me...hopeless. Well tomorrow is another taxi day all organised.. This morning we awoke to rain and wind. There was no way any of us were about to walk in that sort of weather..... Leisurely breakfast. Then a short walk into town where we returned to the bar and restaurant that had so kindly looked after us the previous day we entrenched ourselves with our guide books and maps to plan the rest of our days in France as our pre booked accommodation is coming ...

... is rural France not a lot of English naturally...after Helen and Terry with their quite good French asked directions from many locals and after we had been told to go up that hill 2 km or alternatively from another local go in completely the opposite direction another 2 km....
