Our planning certainly paid off.
The next part of our trip, now heading back northwards towards Saint Flour, was the best yet. Anyone coming into this area, the D9 and D983 and also the N106 this is an absolute must. I think, sitting on the back of Ruby I took over a good 200 pictures of the scenery, approx 3,750ft up. Many a small village in France
... Sainte-Eulalie-d'Olt. Brousse-le-chateau was set in a huge gorge, the Gorge du Tarn. Yet another amazing town with a medieval bridge and chateau. A short drive up the road to Requista where we spent the night. We had a few auto-electrical issues on the drive, with a couple of blown fuses. So the next morning was to be devoted to sorting that out.

... We have also ridden north to Cambous, where we had lunch along the river. Today we went for a four hour hike in the hills around Momtagnac. The microclimates were quite bizarre. Once she figured out i could only speak a bit of French, she used hand signals to assist comprehension;hand pedaling when she asked where i was going; tilting over backwards when she said "le vent est dur". I got a "bon courage!" When i left; one of my two favourite French phrases. I only have about 20 km to go, but I am lucky if I am doing about 10/hr right now ...
