A late summer's day

... by the life size Mary Poppins holding pride of place in the main hall of the cathedral. In case you are doubting, see the pic below. This building also housed an impressive Gallo-Roman museum of artefacts found locally. Very impressive. Auxerre is a much more intact medieval town than some others we have been to. A day exploring the French countryside
... really, all very civilised, but you could have a go at killing just about anything! There were pens of all sorts of dogs, beagles, wolf hounds, the traditional baying hounds of the Baskerville type, and blokes in traditional French costumes blowing horns. Had a quick look and left.
