A sleepin and then packing for our family's return flight to Jakarta. Simon finally got the bags closed in time for Meg's steak sandwiches with peach syrup drinks. Now we are nearly home after a sad goodbye and feeling a little empty. No doubt a few days rest will restore our joie de vivre. We have had a busy and very happy three weeks ...

The refuge was a very cheap 5 euros. It had a washer and dryer at our disposal and a clean kitchen. However, the shower was on an 8 second timer. Every 8 seconds, you had to hit a button to keep it going, and each time ...

I thought that this was very against the spirit of the pilgrimage. I also thought that it was silly because my guide book indicated that there were more than enough beds for all. And, as it turns out, we were all able to get a bed.

I spent most of the day in bed ...
