    After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...

    ... Hubert and he thought it wasn't necessary. He played well but no songs I could sing with so that was a shame. We had a good laugh and the people there were real nice, friendly and some of them interesting. With 2 lawyers and one prefect we were well represented by the law. Again it was 2 o'clock before we left and tomorrow we would be leaving. 14th Renato's 50th birthday I tried to phone my brother but they had already left for a day of sun and fun ...

    ... told us of the local dish which was to be the evening dinner special it was called Truffade. We later on went with that, it consisted of potatoe fried with bacon in Cantelle cheese , basically a fondue served with a crisp green salad and procuitto on the side, the idea was to mix it all up on your plate and man it was good.

    ... for Volvic waters. Booked in and set up the temperature read 30.5c I was melting, we made for the pool complex and spent the rest of the afternoon in and out of the water.
