We arrived in this beautiful place for a 2 night stay. The hotel is just gorgeous. Our room is spacious and very luxe. We have beautiful double french doors that open up onto a window box that overlooks the narrow street. Luckily Zara has a sensible, responsible 11 yr old brother who was looking after her.

New Years Eve we celebrated by eating out at a cosy restaurant back in Cancale.
A yummy 3 course meal of fish soup, mussels and mackeral and crepes for dessert.
Greg was also able to buy some more oysters for a New Years ...

... 92 arrived within minutes. The bus driver was helpful and polite and Jonathan had no difficulty in requesting in French tickets for two to Gare Montparnasse, and handing over the appropriate coins. It's about a 5 minute ride.

Once there we went upstairs to Le Grande Lignes concourse from where the high speed trains - the Trains Grande Vitesse - leave. We'd left ourselves enough time to have breakfast, and went into a lovely cafe where we were warmly greeted ...
