... or a combination of the three. Anyway I thought I would pace myself in order to last the 53 km. The last 10 kms were up and down hills though Geoff said he didn't classify them as hills, I certainly did. However I managed to keep going albeit in the lowest gear. Our good intentions of setting off early, didn't come to fruition as we slept too well and then relaxed over a lovely breakfast and looking out to sea across a beautiful sandy beach to the English Channel. We set off in glorious weather at 9 am but it took about 2 hours to go the first 10kms, a combination of photo stop, phone calls and yes the odd or actually quite a few wrong turnings and having to double back. We ...

... hair cut & coloured. We were impressed as Frayssinet only consists of one restaurant, a patisserie, a small general store, a bar and a hairdresser. That's the total sum of retail! So we were pleasantly surprised. The rest of the day was spent washing, packing & tidying up. Dinner nearby in Gourjonac & it was surprisingly cool! Set off on Thursday to battle the roads on our way to La Rochelle. We took no ...
