... way she was going to make it. We told her to speak to the Guard as apparently the train company in Italy will take care of hotels etc if you miss connections. The American traveller confirmed this with us as this had been the case for the last week as she'd missed every connection. We told her we knew the feeling.....eventually we rolled into Milan.....early evening is a good time to roll into Milan. We like Milan.
We have been in remote country for the last few days. Haven't seen a store, and rarely even a house since we left Les Contamines.
Our last refuge in France was de Mottets, quite a relief after the night before. Although it had been converted from a dairy farm, it had spacious, modern rest rooms, hot showers, semi-private bed room (Barbara only had to share with 3 guys this time).
