... And the fishes were HUGE!!! The clams were very expensive and I was surprised to see that shrimp isn't sold here too often. Fishermen compete for the sales and they are constantly cleaning their displays and moping the melting ice from the floor.

It's so interesting to see the difference in culture between the butchers, the fishermen and the farmers. The butchers are bit more aggressive and just less 'smiley." The fisherman are nicer and their fingers are pink ...

... corner from Pythagore. We experienced some really genuine hospitality from the bar owner, which was surprising because most people here tend to be a little cold towards Americans.

    • On Thursday January 16th ICN had a pizza party meet n greet for the international students and Globe & Co. I had a pretty wild time at Le Floor with my classmates.

... I decided to skype with mom and dad at midnight as part of my procrastination. I am a crazy kid. I had to just go to bed because I couldn't write anymore because my hand hurt. I have a blister/callous thing starting in the little crease by my thumb and a scar type of thing starting on my palm because I grip my pens so hard that my nails go into my hand. This studying stuff is intense and painful over here. If getting hurt from studying isn't dedication, I don't know what is.

... some very decent espresso's in a cafe/betting place (lol) for some much needed caffeine.

The most interesting part of the night however was trying to get our newly bought beer and wine bottles open. We found a corkscrew from another UCF student. As for the beer, let's just say we had to get crafty. I tried everything! Doorway, porch railing, keys (I sliced my finger open SMH) and whatever stuff I could Google. Lina ended up using the keys to make the ridges ...

... even though she was guilty. It was so bad.

I found some old Mary-Kate and Ashley movies, more specifically "It takes two" and "Passport to Paris." I am dying at the attempt at French accents in Passport to Paris and their lack of translating French correctly. The guy said "gamins" which is another word for children when trying to talk to the waiter. Their French accents are hilarious as well. They do not sound like native French speakers. I laughed so hard.
